NC AHEC VISION is a resource for all AHEC faculty and staff to more effectively provide educational opportunities and conduct business state-wide with the ability to connect nationally. In addition the NC AHEC VISION is available for non-AHEC healthcare related use.

NC AHEC VISION enables people to communicate and collaborate easily and intuitively through ad-vanced voice, video and data conferencing solutions with video clarity you can see, audio quality you can hear and ease-of-use you can feel.

NC AHEC VISION brings a more human experience to collaborative communication — when people work together seamlessly, great things happen.

Through interactive distance learning, an instructor can motivate and expose participants to people, places, and experiences without the traditional restrictions of time limitations or geographical barriers.

SERVICE

NC AHEC VISION facilities offer a variety of video conferencing services. Most sites provide:

• speaker and audience microphones
• computer access
• laptop connections
• Internet access
• video tape and/or DVD
• monitors

All of which is backed by an experienced technical staff.

PRICING

Scheduling Fee: $30 per site

Hourly Usage Rates:

Type of Organization Requesting VISION Use	Hourly Rate
NC AHEC ( FY 2008-2009 Charges Covered )	$ 50 / hr / AHEC Site
Non-Profit Healthcare	$100 / hr / AHEC Site
For-Profit Healthcare	$ 150 / hr / AHEC Site

Additionally, up to three AHEC-certified external, "Guest" sites may be permitted to participate. Hourly rates for these sites vary and will be added as applicable.
