American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course<\/h1>\r\n

The American Heart Association is always seeking professionals to conduct training in BLS for Healthcare Providers, First Aid, and CPR and AED. If you are passionate about saving lives, motivated to facilitate learning, and find it easy to make complex concepts understandable to others, you may be a perfect candidate.<\/p>

Successful completion of this course will allow you to teach the following AHA courses:
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
- Heartsaver First Aid
- Heartsaver CPR AED
- Heartsaver Pediatric
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Family & Friends\u00ae CPR
- CPR in Schools\u00ae With First Aid
- CPR & First Aid in Youth Sports\u2122
- CPR & First Aid Anywhere<\/p>

Course cost includes:
- BLS Instructor Manual
- Heartsaver Instructor Manual
- Online Instructor Essentials
- In person course
- 2-year TC Membership
- Monitor Session <\/p> \r\n\r\n

PREREQUISITES (you will not be allowed into class without the following items completed)<\/h3>

- Must be at least 18 years of old
- Currently have or obtain a BLS Provider Card
- Complete an Instructor Candidate Application (sent after registration)
- Successfully complete the online BLS Instructor Essentials course (an access link will be sent to you after we receive your Instructor Candidate Application and BLS Provider card)<\/p>

AFTER THE COURSE (you will not be given a BLS Instructor card if these items are not completed)<\/h3>

- Complete an Affiliation Agreement
- Be monitored teaching a class within 6 months (some candidates may need multiple monitoring sessions)
- Accept invites to online platforms required to process instructor paperwork<\/p>\r\n

Substitutes\/Refunds\/Transfers <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail)<\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - Registrants cancelling between two weeks and two full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee. <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - Cancellations greater than 2 weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund. <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund. <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - Transfers\/substitute(s) welcome at discretion of Program Director. <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n - Attendance at this activity grants permission for Southern Regional AHEC to use any photographs, audio, video, or other images from this activity for promotional or educational purposes.
