SPEAKER:<\/p>\r\n\r\nPenny S. Jones AGNP-C, MN, CWS, CWCN-AP, COCN<\/span> is a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Wound Specialist with over three decades of expertise in wound management and advanced nursing practice. Currently serving as a Wound Management Nurse Practitioner at AlignMed Partners and Owner of PSJ Nurse Consultation in Chapel Hill, NC, she provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with chronic wounds in post-acute care settings. Her distinguished career includes nearly eight years as a Wound Management Nurse Practitioner at Duke University Health System's 3J Wound Clinic, preceded by two decades as a Wound Management Clinical Nurse Specialist at Duke, where she was instrumental in developing standards of care, leading educational initiatives, and serving on numerous institutional committees. Jones holds advanced degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (Master's in Nursing with cardiopulmonary specialization) and Duke University (Post-Master's Certificate in Geriatric\/Adult Nurse Practice), along with specialized training in HIV nursing from the University of Southern California. A Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists and Diplomat of the American Academy of Wound Management, she has contributed significantly to the field through extensive publications, research presentations, and educational programs, including her widely attended Wound Certification Prep Courses conducted annually since 2016.
