Embark on becoming a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars, starting with the DN-1 Foundations I course. \r\n\r\nThe DN-1 Foundations I course is meticulously designed to introduce healthcare professionals to the pivotal concepts of dry needling, including its historical background, the science of trigger points, and the intricacies of myofascial pain. With a focus on safety and efficacy, we explore the critical aspects of potential adverse events and the essential OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards tailored to dry needling practices. \r\n\r\nMany muscles commonly addressed in clinical practice are included, such as the infraspinatus, upper trapezius, deltoid, sternocleidomastoid, triceps, biceps, brachialis, levator scapulae, the latissimus dorsi (partially), the subscapularis, brachioradialis, wrist extensors, supinator and anconeus, the quadratus lumborum, psoas major, lumbar iliocostalis, the gluteal muscles (minimus, medius, and maximus), the hip adductor muscles, the quadriceps and hamstrings, and gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. Students will review the anatomy, function, and dry needling techniques for each muscle. This course incorporates (1) hour of OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen Training, essential for ensuring safety and compliance in clinical practices.\r\n\r\nPathway to Certification: This course is the first in a trilogy offered by Myopain Seminars, leading to certification as a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist - Dry Needling (CMTPT\/DN). Fulfilling the requirements of this course is your first step towards a distinguished certification in dry needling.\r\n\r\nPre-Course Preparation: Kickstart your learning journey with access to pre-course videos upon registration, ensuring you're primed for success from the get-go.
