NC AHEC Primary Care Fellowship
 

QUICK SUMMARY:

  • A distance-based program, with two (2) in-person days.
  • Program co-directors are experienced FNP, PA, and MD faculty clinicians and educators. 
  • Program runs from Oct 1, 2026-Sep 30, 2027.  
  • Participation in two-hour meetings every other week from 8-10 a.m. on Thursdays, which will include didactics and case reviews.
  • AAPA and ANCC category 1 credits, minimum of between 48-60 available credits.  

INTENDED AUDIENCE:

  • Recent graduates from accredited PA and FNP programs in the first year of practice or intended graduation before program start date
  • Those working in a practice or have a contract; need letter of support from that practice
  • Independent practices, FQHCs, Community Health Center look-alikes, Rural Health Centers, and local health departments

  • Complex care management
  • Core primary care topics
  • Latest guidelines
  • In-person workshop for hands-on skills development
  • Professional identity and network development
  • Pediatrics, obstetrics, common skin & musculoskeletal conditions
