Live trainings for CCTO Users are now offered on a bi-weekly basis. Topics include updates and enhancements to the CCTO Tool and common Help Desk issues. A live Q&A is held at the end of each session to give attendees an opportunity to ask questions and request demonstrations of certain CCTO features. The trainings will continue until they are no longer needed.

The October webinar, entitled Navigating Ahead: Employment Contracts, is open to all physicians, but could be especially beneficial to residents as you contemplate your first job. Even as we grapple with COVID, other aspects of professional practice and life continue. Residents graduate and go into practice. Physicians established in one practice want to mot to be closer to family or join another practice. So, what are the key elements to look for in an employment contract. What provisions matter most for work/family balance? What does a “non-compete” actually mean? Learn more and get key questions answered.
Speakers will include:
- Shawn Parker, JD, an attorney with Smith Anderson in Raleigh, who has consulted with NCAFP on a number of projects; and
- John Rusher, MD, JD, a Raleigh pediatrician.

COVID-19 Update for Long Term Care Settings
NC DHHS has elected to sunset AHEC’s bi-weekly COVID-19 Update for Long-Term Care Settings sessions. The session scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2020 has been cancelled.
NC DHHS will launch a weekly written briefing on COVID-19 activity related to long-term care settings.
The NC DHHS COVID-19 Updates for Long-Term Care emails will be circulated on a regular basis starting next week.
AHEC Webinar Series for North Carolina’s Oral Health Workforce
To support oral health professionals in North Carolina as they return to work, these six webinars will provide information on re-opening and operating in the midst of COVID-19. The series is designed to allow just-in-time input from participants and oral health leaders from across the state. Participants may pick and choose any combination of events.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Public Health (DPH) and NC AHEC held weekly forums for the NC business community. The forums enabled members of the business community to obtain timely information on COVID-19 and to pose questions directly to public health subject matter experts.
