The NC Division of Public Health (DPH) and NC AHEC will hold weekly forums providing the latest updates on COVID-19 guidance for long term care settings. Subject matter experts from DPH will provide a quick update on any new developments and respond to questions received during the forum. The forums will continue until they are no longer needed.

Join the NC Division of Health Benefits (DHB), NC AHEC, and Community Care of North Carolina for a webinar entitled Keeping Kids Well that will highlight a statewide collaboration aimed at increasing well-child visits and immunization rates.
Dr. Shannon Dowler, DHB chief medical officer, will provide an update on state policies impacting telehealth, Medicaid Managed Care and the State of Emergency around COVID-19. DHB Quality and Population Health Director Kelly Crosbie will provide an overview of the Keeping Kids Well coalition efforts and representatives of CCNC and NC AHEC will be on hand to describe the support that the collaboration partners will provide to medical practices across the state.
The webinar will also feature a panel of physicians discussing “best practices” for pediatric clinicians seeking to boost immunization rates and well-child care visits.

CCNC and NC AHEC Resources
Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC) and NC AHEC are working together to support providers by providing general information on COVID-19 and specific guidelines including coding suggestions for healthcare providers serving Medicaid beneficiaries. NC DHHS and NC AHEC Weekly Business Forum
The NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Public Health (DPH) and NC AHEC held weekly forums for the NC business community. The forums enabled members of the business community to obtain timely information on COVID-19 and to pose questions directly to public health subject matter experts.

The Office of Rural Health (ORH) and NC AHEC co-sponsored a weekly webinar series to address the role of virtual visits in responding to COVID-19. The webinars enabled providers to pose questions directly to telehealth subject matter experts.
